Capital Reef NP +

We checked at the visitor centre, and the snake that rattled Kitty (in more ways than one!) was a Mojave Rattle Snake - see the rattle at the end of the tail:

We drove scenic biway 12 to Boulder where we spent 2 nights, and from there did a 230 km scenic drive, partly on unsealed roads, to Capital Reef National Park:

We drove back towards Zion NP on the same scenic hwy 12 - scenery looks different from the other direction, and went to the Petrified Forest State park and Cedar Breaks National Monument today; it´s like a mini-Bryce Canyon.
