We had a day in Zion a week ago before we went to Bryce and Capital Reef, and now we have returned and had another 2 days. Finally I have been allowed to do some decent hiking - yesterday we did a lovely walk along a creek which ended in a spectacular double arch alcove, plus some river walking in a canyon, and today we did the challenging Angel´s Landing walk (up almost 500m with the last section being quite tricky with sheer drops off to either side). After the walk Graeme actually agreed to spend a few hours around the hotel pool and I opened a novel for the first time on the trip - there simply has been no time before this.

Graeme stopped at the base of this final ascent - I continued to the top. It looks worse than it actually is - there are frequent chains to hold onto to help prevent you falling off the edge and tumbling 1400 feet down

It was a great day! Tomorrow we are off to Las Vegas for some R&R after the hard work of National Park visiting up until now.
